· What: Slidell St. Patricks Day Parade

· When:

o Sunday 3/10/2024 start 1:00 PM

o Show up at 11:00 a.m.

· Uniform:

o Shirt: Black KOMC t-shirt

o Green hose

o Orange Flashes

o Black shoes

o Scottish Hats (Balmoral or Glengarry)

· Route:

o Starts at 2055 Second St, Slidell

o Ends at the same place it starts

o 1.5 miles

· Notes:

o Recommended parking is at First United Methodist Church

§ 433 Erlanger Ave, Slidell, LA 70458

o YES: we’ll have a wagon for drinks and snacks (provided)

§ NO: you can’t put pipe/drum cases, coats, or other stuff in it.

§ Please be considerate of Lionel, who has to pull it.

o SUNSCREEN:  it is a mid-day parade and sunshine should be expected.

§ However, they will roll rain or shine, so…

o Watch the weather!

o Bring only what you can carry: there will be no place to put pipe or drum cases.

o Eat a good breakfast, and pack a lunch to eat right before we march off.  We’ll finish around 2:00, give or take half an hour.

o The Brass Monkey Irish Pub will be open when the parade is over.
